USB LED Lights and USB Gadgets

I'm fascinated with the increasing number of innovative products that are on the market nowadays that are powered by the USB port on your desk computer or laptop.

There are so many cute products that:

• Create a fun work environment such as toys like the missile launcher and plasma ball or the LED Lights
• Create a more functional work space like the cup warmer and chiller
• Create a more comfortable work space like personal fans
• Create a way to relax, relieve stress and unwind like the stress button

I've chosen some of my favorite USB driven products to illustrate just how varied the products are that you can buy online. I hope you enjoy them.

The Dream Cheeky USB Circus Cannon or Missile Launcher allows you to launch foam missiles, called "babe" missiles, up to 10 feet away right from your computer or laptop. I can just imagine the fun you and your bored co-workers could have with a couple of these hooked to your computer's USB port. It comes with 3 feet of USB cable, it moves horizontally and vertically and has pre-recorded sound effects.

The other model moves left, right, up and down and is able to shoot it's missles up to 20 feet.

The electric coffee or candle warmers have been around for awhile. But have you seen the USB warmers that also chill your beverages? This is a great idea for the office or at home. Have you ever gotten busy on the computer and forgotten about your drink? It's equally frustrating when your cold drink has gone warm or your warm drink has gone cold. This handy device does both with the flip of a switch.

This gadget hooks into your USB port and you push the button to create screen effects and relieve stress during your hectic day at work.  You can also use it to quickly disguise what's on your screen. 

Just before Christmas 2010, I was shopping and ran across a package containing a strand of about 6-7 Christmas lights that ran off of USB power. They were designed to decorate your computer monitor. I bought every set they had and gave them as gifts. Everyone loved them.

I came home a did a little research and have found that Amazon carries quite a variety of Christmas lights that run off the USB port of your computer.

They include:

• Miniature Christmas tree with colored LED lights
• Multi=colored Lighted monitor garland
• Strands of white lights
• Strands of multi-colored lights
• Neon Christmas tree

This cute dog figure uses vision, motion, sound technology (VMS). He has an infrared sensor that detects movement near your computer and he begins to bark, growl and sing melodies. He is powered by your USB port. There is some customizing you can do and he has a built in timer and alarm function so that you can set him to go off to remind you of appointments.

If you're like many, you work in an office space that's either too hot or too cold. Having your own personal fan allows you to regulate the temperature in your confined area. What do you do when you don't have enough electrical outlets?

They have now created USB driven personal fans. They have some cute retro styles and some very modern styles. They take up very little space on your desk.

Who can resist putting their hand up to a plasma ball? Now you can have your own plasma ball that runs off the USB port of your computer. You'll soon have everyone around your computer wanting to touch it.

Let Yoda, the ultimate Jedi Master, protect your desk. He's a mere 6 inches tall but when powered by your USB port his light saber lights up and he says things like:
