Looking For Classic Ford Mustang Parts and Info?

Mustang enthusiasts come in all shapes, sizes, ages, sexes and nationalities. Once the Mustang fever has taken hold of you it rarely lets go.
My first recollection of a Mustang was in the late 60s when I was a young girl watching my Uncle Eddie Ray (in Texas everyone uses their middle names too) head off to college with his 1968 Mustang. My dad was a Chevy man and always thought the Mustangs looked like someone had rear-ended them and would tease Uncle Eddie Ray about it.
About 8 years later, my boyfriend bought his first car, a blue 1968 Mustang. We must have put a million miles on that car. That boyfriend became my husband and he actually still owns that car.
I was a member and officer in a local Mustang Club for about twenty years while married to my first husband. I've seen more boxes of dirty car parts, new old stock (NOS) parts, and memorabilia than you can shake a stick at. I've attended hundreds of swap meets and rummaged with the best of them. I've watched a rusting heap of metal transformed back into its original magnificence
It was a 1968 GT Fastback that my now ex-husband restored. We had entered in a few car shows in those early days but we had always planned to present to our son on his 16th birthday. Kevin always knew that was his car. Kevin died just before his 13th birthday before he ever had a chance to drive it. The photo above is taken from the back of Kevin's monument. It is an etching of that very Mustang permanently displayed. Every year we take the car out to the cemetary as release balloons in honor and rememberance of his life.
If you, or someone you know is restoring a classic Mustang, then you're going to need parts. There's always some little door handle or trim piece that's impossible to find. I've personally known these guys for over 25 years and if they don't have them, they know where to get them. Mustang is in their blood. I'm trying to talk them into writing 'how to' articles for Hub Pages because of all the great knowledge the two of them have trapped inside their heads that guys like you out there are dying to know! In fact, if you're intereted in that type of article, let me know so I can crank up the screws on them!
