Melissa & Doug Toys

Melissa and Doug Bernstein began creating toys in Doug's parents' garage in 1988. Their first wooden toy came out in 1991. Now, some 20 years later they are known world-wide for their high-end quality wooden toys. These toys are built to last which makes them a good value.

These are the kinds of toys parents can feel good about giving their children and grandchildren. They are very durable and will be something you can hand down from generation to generation. 

Just when I think I've seen all the varieties they make, I find something new that's even cuter than the last toy. I've assembled some of my favorites. These toys will entertain children for hours at a time as they play make believe. All of the toys I have featured here are recommended for children 3+ years old.

What child wouldn't love to have a metal shopping cart?

This cute Melissa & Doug shopping cart is made of metal, has pivoting front wheels and a folding seat for pushing around their favorite doll or bear. It's 23 1/4 inches x 15 inches x 11 3/4 inches. Assembly is required.

Kids love playing grocery store check out. Find a play cash register and some play money and you've just created loads of fun for almost any kid!

This sturdy wooden pizza has six slices, a colorful pizza box or tray, a pizza cutter, spatula for serving and over 50 toppings. The pizza even makes slicing sounds when kids pretend to cut it.
