Texas State Railroad's Peanuts The Valentine Express
Be sure to take the family out for a Valentine's treat aboard the Texas State Railroad's Peanuts The Valentine Express. This special train excursion is available on February 12, 2012 only at the Rusk Depot.

You get to meet Snoopy and listen to a live reading of the book, "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown." During the layover at lunchtime, while watching the cartoon feature by the same name, you can enjoy making Valentine cards, listening to live mustic and having your picture made with Snoopy.
Texas State Railroad's Valentine's Dinner Train "Our Love is on the Line"
If you're looking for a romantic evening, you won't want to miss Texas State Railroad's Valentine's Dinner Train. This special train excursion is available on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 6:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.
At 6:30 P.M. couples can enjoy a reception and entertainment before leaving at 7:30 P.M. from the Rusk Depot. Couples will enjoy an elegant evening that includes a three-course meal catered by Traditions in Tyler and musical entertainment.
Tickets are $110 per person and advance reservations are required since seating is limited.
Austin Steam Train Association's Sweetheart Special Dinner Train
The Austin Steam Train Association has a Sweetheart Special Dinner Train cruise secheduled for February 11, 2012. Hors d'oeuvres from the Kerbey Lane Cafe will be served along with wines from Pilot Knob Winery. Reservations are required.

The Austin Steam Train is just down the street from me and we have tried it. The ride has improved significantly since we took it in 1995. I will do a hub on it.
My sister loves the Texas State Railroad.

These all sound fun for any time, not just Valentine's Day. We do both think that it is a good idea to do something for Val's Day, especially if you have been together a long time.

I agree, 2Patricias. I went in the spring on a misty rainy day and it was fantastic. I am really anxious to go again. BTW, most of them offer Murder Mystery runs and Polar Express runs periodically too. They sound like a lot of fun too.

This is a real fun idea. Travelling appeals to me. For me nothing can be more beautiful to me than spending a valentines day night under the stars and above the sea. A cruise would be a perfect way to spend the day.
