America's Best Dance Crew (ABDC)-Season 4 Finale

In the tradition of seasons 1 through 3 of MTV's America's Best Dance Crew, all nine original teams reunited for the Season 4 finale.

In case you've forgotten who the nine were:

• Artistry in Motion
• Beat Ya Feet Kings
• Fr3sh
• Massive Monkees
• Rhythm City
• Southern Movement
• Vogue Evolution
• We Are Heroes

It was nice to see all the teams come back together. If you watched both sides of the commercials breaks you could spot members of Season 2's Fanny Pack, Season 2's Super Cr3w, and Season 3's Quest Crew.

Each of the three ABDC judges had to pick three crews from the original nine crews that they felt would would work well together. Their choices were:

Lil' Mama's chose:

• Vogue Evolution
• Artistry in Motion
• We Are Heroes

She said she felt these three crews exhibited a good feminine nature, sex appeal, strength and fun.

JC Chasez chose:

• Afroborike
• Rhythm City
• Fr3sh

JC said he felt these three teams exhibited a chemistry amongst their team members and were known for creating memorable moments for the audience.

Shane Sparks chose:

• Beat Ya Feet Kings
• Southern Movement
• Massive Monkees

Shane felt that these three teams really represented their backgrounds well. He felt their combined effort would really make an impression on the audience.

Shane Sparks and the top two crews, Afroborike and We Are Heroes visited Culture Shock. Culture Shock is a dance studio that offers free dance lessons to children to keep them off the streets. The dance crews spent the day teaching the kids all kinds of dance moves. It gave them all a chance to give a little something back to the community. You could tell the kids loved it.

Afroborike and We Are Heroes performed together in a highly energetic performance of Black Eyed Peas "I've Got a Feeling". I think the two crews performed very well together. They exhibited lots of different movements and choreography.

With moments that seemed to last forever, Mario asked the three judges to talk about each of the two finalists, Afroborike and We Are Heroes.

They spoke about how both groups broke some cultural barriers and weren't afraid to be true to their own styles of dance. They talked about how Afroborike came in to the competition as the underdog because they didn't have any b-boy moves and danced quite differently than the other teams. They catered to the crowds and won the hearts of many fans. They congratulated We Are Heroes for persevering through two injuries to crew members. It showed their determination to win.

Mario slowly read the winner.......We Are Heroes! The girls went crazy with excitement discovering that they were the first females to win this competition.

Congratulations to all the Season 4 crews and particularly, We Are Heroes!
